Proportional valve, the full name is electro-hydraulic proportional valve, is a kind of hydraulic valve that converts the input electrical signal into force or displacement proportionally, so as to continuously control the pressure, flow and other parameters.
The proportional valve is composed of DC proportional electromagnet and hydraulic valve. The hydraulic valve part is little different from the general hydraulic valve, and the DC proportional electromagnet is different from the electromagnet used in the general solenoid valve, and the displacement output and suction output can be obtained proportional to the given current by using the proportional electromagnet. Proportional valve according to its control parameters can be divided into proportional pressure valve, proportional flow valve, proportional direction valve three categories.
The Difference Between Servo Valve and Proportional Valve
The difference between the servo valve and the proportional valve is not strictly stipulated, because the performance of the proportional valve is getting better and better, and it is gradually close to the servo valve, so the proportional servo valve has appeared in recent years.
The difference between proportional valve and servo valve is mainly reflected in the following points:
1. Different driving devices. The driving device of proportional valve is proportional electromagnet; The driving device of the servo valve is a force motor or a torque motor;
2. Different performance parameters. The characteristics of hysteresis, middle dead zone, bandwidth, filtration accuracy and so on are different, so the application occasions are different, servo valve and servo proportional valve are mainly used in closed-loop control system, proportional valves of other structures are mainly used in open loop control system and closed-loop speed control system;
2.1 There is no dead zone in the middle of the servo valve, and there is a dead zone in the proportional valve;
2.2 The frequency response (response frequency) of the servo valve is higher, which can be as high as 200Hz or so, and the proportional valve is generally tens of Hz;
2.3 The servo valve has higher requirements for hydraulic oil, which needs to be filtered, otherwise it is easy to block, and the proportional valve has lower requirements;
3. Spool structure and processing accuracy are different. Proportional valve adopts spool + body structure, and the body doubles as a valve sleeve. The servo valve and servo proportional valve adopt the structure of spool + valve sleeve.
